# Quick start

The shortest path from a wallet to automatic LOTRIO lottery entry.

This page explains only what a holder needs to do. The lottery mechanics are covered separately.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Launch pending.** `$LOTRIO` has not launched on Pons V2 yet. The official token address and trade link will be published at launch on [Launch status & official links](/trust-and-verification/launch-status.md), [lotrio.app](https://lotrio.app) and [@lotrioapp](https://x.com/lotrioapp). Until then, any token claiming to be `$LOTRIO` is not ours.
{% endhint %}

## Before you start

You will need:

* a self-custody EVM wallet;
* Robinhood Chain (chainId 4663) selected in that wallet;
* ETH for the purchase and network gas;
* the official `$LOTRIO` token address, as listed on [Launch status & official links](/trust-and-verification/launch-status.md).

## Enter in four steps

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Verify the official address

Open [Launch status & official links](/trust-and-verification/launch-status.md). Compare the token address with the contract on [RobinScan](https://robin.etherscan.io). Do not use an address from replies, DMs or unofficial groups.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Buy `$LOTRIO` on Pons

Use the token's official Pons page, linked from Launch status and the official website. Before graduation you trade on the Pons bonding curve; afterwards, in the Pons Uniswap V4 pool.

Every buy and sell pays 2%: a 1% Pons trading fee plus a 1% creator tax. Your wallet receives the amount remaining after the buy fee and price movement. Wallet-to-wallet transfers pay no fee.

Pons applies an anti-snipe tax during the first 3 seconds after launch. It starts at 99% and decays to 0, so do not buy in the very first seconds.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Hold at least 10,000 `$LOTRIO`

Your **wallet balance after the trade** must be at least 10,000 `$LOTRIO`. That creates 1 whole WIN POWER and makes the wallet eligible.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Wait

That is all. There is no lottery transaction to send. The keeper advances the draw automatically every 15 minutes, and the contract normally pays winners directly in ETH.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

## How to confirm that you are eligible

The website shows your wallet's token balance and exact live WIN POWER. The lottery contract exposes `winPowerWeightOf(wallet)` in 1/10,000-WP units for independent verification; `winPowerOf(wallet)` is the whole-point compatibility view.

The Pons token cannot notify the lottery by itself, so your WIN POWER updates shortly after the keeper relays your trade. Anyone can also call `syncAccount(wallet)` on the lottery to reread a wallet's balance immediately.

| Wallet state      |   Eligible? |
| ----------------- | ----------: |
| 9,999 `$LOTRIO`   |   No — 0 WP |
| 10,000 `$LOTRIO`  |  Yes — 1 WP |
| 99,999 `$LOTRIO`  |  Yes — 9 WP |
| 100,000 `$LOTRIO` | Yes — 10 WP |

{% hint style="info" %}
Raw WIN POWER starts in whole points because only complete 10,000-token units count. Winner deductions and their recovery checkpoints are tracked fractionally, so live WIN POWER can include up to four decimal places.
{% endhint %}

## What happens next

Your wallet is considered in every future eligible draw until its live WIN POWER falls to zero. Read [WIN POWER](/start-here/win-power.md) to understand odds and [How a draw works](/the-lottery/how-it-works.md) to follow the full cycle.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.lotrio.app/start-here/quick-start.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
